In the course of our day-to-day lives as unschoolers, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed by the strong social messages supporting the conventional model of learning which surround us. We can lose our way—forget to look on all that’s around us with a sense of wonder, curiosity, and joy. We can begin to doubt ourselves. We can begin to revert to old patterns of learning.
Most importantly, we can lose our sense of perspective about the larger effects of our daily choice of unschooling for ourselves and our families.
Why is our family’s choice to unschool important? What effect does it have on the rest of the world? What is our contribution to the world?

Manish will be sharing with us a fascinating view of global trends towards natural and creative learning, and the efforts of activists in the development community to foster these ideas. He will take us on a video tour of Udaipur, and discuss his work through Shikshantar on the "Udaipur as a Learning City" project, as well as other ongoing efforts to support the creation of new and exciting models of development and learning in India and beyond!
