We have a 13-year-old daughter who doesn't want to go to a huge high school (she's been in a small private k-8). We're thinking some form of homeschooling might be a real option, and are interested in hearing other experiences.

Dear conference organizers,

My husband and I had the pleasure of attending the Unschooling conference on Saturday, and we would like to express our heartfelt gratitude for the great experience you have provided.

We felt very welcome upon arrival, and at ease throughout the day. We enjoyed immensely John Taylor Gatto's and Alison McKee's lecture and discussions - and wish we could have been flies on the wall in the Wholemovement workshop :) The food and refreshments were wonderful, and we liked how you made it possible for us all to sit together and connect with each other. The topics of discussion available on the tables, so lovingly printed and framed, were very helpful. The Goodman center is a beautiful place. The website was not only very detailed and informative, but also fun and interesting - I read it all just for the pleasure of it! We very much appreciated the attention you gave to ALL of the details that made for a most enjoyable experience.

You obviously worked very hard - and with a lot of heart! - at putting all of this together, and we were very glad and lucky to be able to attend. Upon leaving at the end of the day, we felt intellectually stimulated, hopeful, encouraged and, above all, inspired.

Thank you very, very much and we look forward to the next one!

We are an unschooling family in Baraboo, and we are interested in more info and possible membership. Could we be contacted please? Can't seem to send anything on the "contact" page. Thanks!

PS: What a bummer that most of the guestbook signers seem to be female. Where are the men in all of this? *sigh*

Unskooling mother of one 8 year old girl...planning on attending this 2010 gathering. Coming from hometown of Steven's Point...looking for support, inspiration and to find others in the area who are also unschooling.

Your conference sounds very interesting. If I were to attend with my husband and son (8 years old), what arrangements would I hve to make for my son in order to attend the sessions ? We live in Puerto Rico and have no family nearby. Thank you, María
